Here we grow again! Wasaga Beach, according to the latest Census data, is the 3rd fastest growing Municipality in all of Canada. This continues a growth trend for Wasaga Beach since the start of the 2000’s. From 2016 to 2021 Wasaga Beach has seen growth of approximately 20%. Our total population is now almost 25,000.
Wasaga Beach offers a unique lifestyle. We are surrounded by Georgian Bay and the Nottawasaga River. We have a Provincial Park within our boundary which comprises approximately 4600 acres of environmentally protected lands. The largest ski resort in Ontario is 20 minutes away and the City of Toronto is an easy 90 minute drive.
Our cost of living is one of the lowest in Simcoe County with our taxes, hydro, and water rates in the lower third of municipalities in the County. We have just come off a record year in construction value for both residential and commercial and 2022 is poised to set new records. The new Gateway Casino is under construction and our new Twin Pad Arena and Library complex is rising from the ground.
