I was proud to participate in a tree planting today with our Wasaga Beach Rotary Club and the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) and Ontario Parks. Rotary presented a cheque to the NVCA for $6000 and this helped us plant 600 trees as a restoration project on Ontario Parks acreage across from our Sports Park. The variety of trees will act as a windrow buffer and protect many species of animals and plants. As a Rotarian, your Municipal Councillor, and a former Chairman of the NVCA – it was a proud day.
